Eleven people were shot in Pittsburgh’s North Side early Sunday morning, and two of the victims, both juveniles, have died, police said.
Investigators were gathering evidence from multiple crime scenes after the shooting in the city’s East Allegheny neighborhood. Police were asking people to avoid the area.
Police said the shooting happened at a party at an Airbnb. About 200 people were inside at the time, police said.
Video shared on social media showed the chaos inside the party. Gunshots can be heard in the background as panicked people rushed to flee the home.
As many as 50 rounds were fired inside the party, prompting some attendees to jump out windows, sustaining injuries from their falls such as broken bones and lacerations.
Police say gunshot victims were located at or near the scene and were transported to local hospitals by Pittsburgh EMS and police. Additional gunshot victims arrived at hospitals inside and outside the city by private means, according to police.
There is no information on any suspects at this time.
